This is where I’m rooted
What is a region? And what does it mean to have roots in a particular area? Students are introduced to regional identity through the expression “having roots”, and this expression is the focal point of the learning and activities presented to the students. The course is partly a presentation of our exhibition, where the fjord and life in Glyngøreegnen are at the center, and partly a reflection on the students’ own roots – their own region. Through presentations supplemented by creative and sensory tasks, students get closer to what it means to have roots in Glyngøre, while also moving closer to an understanding of their own roots.

AMAZING ANIMALS AND PLANTS IN THE LIMFJORD – AN OFFER TO EXPLORE LIFE IN AND AROUND THE LIMFJORD
Sense the wondrous world of life beneath the waves of the Limfjord. Get an in-depth knowledge of animals and plants. This is a unique opportunity to incorporate many aspects into a course about the Limfjord that surrounds our region.
Fjord guide Jesper Nielsen Krogh is the guide on this trip. He talks vividly about fjord life, hunting and fishing. The students get to go out and see for themselves where the animals live, use different fishing gear and possibly taste the fruits of the fjord.
There is an opportunity to see the museum exhibition about hunting and fishing gear from the old days at Glyngøre Kulturstation and visit the exciting laboratory at Glyngøre School – just a stone’s throw from the fjord
